The assessment aims at contributing to a better understanding and management of droughts and floods in the South Mediterranean Region by identifying:

i-  Successful responses to past episodes, including from traditional water, environment and civil defence sectors, that could be replicated in other situations;

ii- Socio-economic and environmental impacts on most sensitive sectors, communities, and ecological systems.

The analysis will cover the situation in the Region with more detailed information for Tunisia, Jordan and Palestine.
